a “F*%# you” to being perfect
My portraits have bright, colorful palettes drawing inspiration from summers I spent in Brazil. I use rough and dynamic line work as a way to break out of years of perfectionism and being super hard on myself. It’s also a reflection of the messiness of being human which is not perfect in any way. By using limited detail and simple backgrounds, I want to give space for the viewer to fill in the gaps, finish the story and find their own connection to my art.
